Cuc Phuong National Park was one of the gems that we found when we made the effort to get away from the tours and brave Vietnam on our own. Which wasn't so difficult and gave us an insight into the locals, usually at our cost as they took great pleasure in comparing shoe (Wayne's) and thigh (mine) size, you can guess who came out on top!!

The treasures of Cuc Phuong

Top left and middle: Monkey's at the sanctuary helping to return illegal exotic pets to the wild.
Top right: Wayne and I on a romantic walk enjoying the peace and quiet, it was about 38C in the sun and there was nothing to see, hence the reason we were on our own!
Bottom left: Prehistoric man cave, complete with original graffiti "Julie 'n' Baz was 'ere 2002".
Bottom middle: 1000 year old tree complete with 28 year old man.
Bottom right: Ancient tree (not sure why they couldn't age this one), it had a really nice concrete viewing platform, you can just about see it, great for the root growth!!!
